Yes they were. The sour was not a really bad sour. Just a taste. Very refreshing. And the stout was very good. I have one more and it is a chocolate stout. That will be had in a little bit.
At Red Hare 34* North in Shallotte NC. Got a flight of 4 with Blackberry and Pineapple Gose, peach state, and peach wit. Also Darkness, a dark sour which is super smokey.
First up, Oregon beer number 1 that traveled 3000 plus miles in the back of the Comanche ... This was the case minus 2 I got with Randyzzzz as featured in the road tripping thread.... a solid IPA that was priced right.
And then number 2, which Craig aka Cerifiable Jeep and I shared minutes after Craig got out of his truck after the 5 hour ride from NH to NJ, yesterday. Thanks RandyZzzZzzzz for this one too! Can't go wrong with a strong IPA from the original and I think oldest Oregon brewery.
My brother came down for dinner and brought some beer. It was my dad's birthday (he's passed away) a couple days ago and this was his go to beer back in the day. 😀
I have to say, it certainly wasn't the beer I'm use to drinking. But it was nice talking about old times.
