Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

Nice bottle collection! I was collecting the painted label 22oz bottles for awhile, they're still in a box somewhere.

Tonight was a Bud Light, then a Rolling Rock, and now a Ninkasi 22oz Sleighr. The first two were at a meeting with the new owner of the off road race park here. Looks like I'm a cheap date- a couple cheap beers and I'm volunteering to help run marketing and promotion!

They got me the same way the other night... a couple of Sam Adams Cold Snaps and I volunteered to help run a car show and to do the flyers ;)

You may just make out what I found on tap here at the SnoFari hotel's bar.

Bells Hopslam imperial/double IPA. One of my top 5 beers period easy. So freaking awesome!

:LIGHTBULB!: I just had an epiphany!! Randy... How's about I send you a case of your choice brew, my treat, for all the info you have helped me with recently...... Then you tell me when you plan on drinking said choice case of beer and about halfway through enjoying the tasty brew I'll call you and we can discuss sending my Scrambler to you for voluntary modifications.... Sound good... Thought so! :rotfl::cheers:

No pumpkin peach ale for me. Give me a Budweiser anyday. Like the commercial during the Superbowl said. I tried (sp)Pliney Elder once.......once.

Gaelic Ale from Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, NC. "A deep Amber-colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body." I stole that line from their web site. It is a very good ale. They also have a good web site.

Yet another good one from Highland Brewing. Kashmir English-Style India Pale Ale.

Here's a preview of my weekend... Have already tried Arrogant Bastard and Ruination. The other two are new to me! But it's Stone... It's gotta be good!

Local joint still had Hopslam on draft. Had one of those, tasted Arcadia Cereal Killer barley wine but it was too sweet. Tasted Bells Third Coast Old Ale and it was very nice, but I didn't want an entire pour (10.2%) so settled into an Original Gravity Primordial Porter instead. Small local brewery in Milan MI. Great flavor, but a little thin for me for a porter.

BTW. This is the draft menu at my local place 5 min from the house. This is basically to make Jersey jealous. He's been here and wishes he could live here.

I see Green Flash Palate Wrecker on there.... That is one of my Sergeant's favorites right now... He would be in 7th heaven to find it on draft! I have yet to taste it but know I'd like it cause we pretty much have the same taste in beer!

I had that the last time I was in there on the advice of the bartender. It's a solid IPA but I was honestly disappointed with the hop, for something with that name, I was expecting much better hop punch. It was just run of the mill to me. Very good drinking beer, but with that name it should have been much bigger than it was.

Here's my old standby, Old Mill "Chill" aka Carolina Koolaid!
By the way, I shake a little salt in my beer, any of you all do the same?
