That "Scrambulance" is too cool! I spend a lot of time on the expedition part of Pirate, and on expeditionportal.com getting ideas... I'd really like to graft a VW westy pop top into my Scrambler fiberglass roof....

Me too, but thinking about a fliptop lately.

Jeff, I'm not well versed in DJs, but is it possible that it's a regular -5 that someone swapped tubs on? left hand drive and 4wd seems like a lot to do to a DJ, but a tub swap on a -5 seems more sensible.

Did you see something on the frame/body that made it obvious someone did major surgery to a DJ?

I'll likely never have one, but I always thought it would be fun to do a 4wd DJ up as a light trail runner/around town driver.

It's definitely a RHD DJ that's been converted, you can't see it in these photos, but on closer inspection I discovered someone had painted the tan color right over the old Post Office decals.

I figured this one was due to be sent to the crusher very soon, so I went back today and bought the rear door off it. The logos on these doors make really nice Gaucho tailgates, or the door could be part a some future Safari top project. Couldn't let such a useful piece of metal go to the crusher, now could I? :)

If I only had a battery-powered Sawzall, I would have grabbed the cool side air vents too...

Did anyone save any of the pictures from this thread? I thought I had them saved on my computer but can't find it.
