Hey Guys,
I found this site last week while researching a purchase, and I am now pretty much hooked. I picked up my first CJ8 last weekend, and I am pretty excited. Its really a big mess, but most of the fun for me is the build so that is what has me so excited.
Just got into Jeeps about 5 years ago after spending a lot of time on a drag strip. Picked up a CJ7 and began to throw tons of time, money and love at it. My wife and daughter and I have been having a blast with it ever sense. Then we got hit by the FSJ bug, so I picked up a few J-trucks and a Grand Wagoneer. Lots of fun. Also picked up a 2011 Unlimited for the wife as a daily driver as well. We sold off the J-trucks, but still have the wagoneer, and added the 82 CJ8 last week. I have the Wagoneer for sale right now because I am just out of room, but to be honest I do not want to sell it (love driving the old beater).
Anyway, from what I can see there are at least some members here that like to see some pictures so here is most of the fleet:
82 CJ7: Pretty much a dune / street toy
Here is the Wagoneer: Nothing special, and that is the best part about it
And the CJ8: Its really ruff, and I have not had a chance to really get a good look at it sense getting it off the trailer last weekend. Still the coolest Jeep in our fleet if you ask me
I'll be hanging around the build thread areas pretty much all winter (these are the best build threads I have ever seen on any forum.) and asking questions as I develop my plans for the CJ8. I might even create my own build thread once I actually start working on it.

No actual competition for the 7. I just enjoy going to some sand-drag test and tunes and seeing how much each change I make results in speed. Mostly racing up the hills and flats in the dunes.
Bigwalton and I are pretty close indeed, I can already tell some bench building sessions are going to be in order
Toby, we've already connected on email and figured out we are just a few miles apart. The recruiting for the sand dunes has also already begun.
I didn't need to know you had a GW for sale manmust not give in........
Careful, those FSJ's will tear at your heart strings. I gurantee that I will shed a tear when this one leaves.
I need to recruiting for dunes, I am pretty much always williing to go play. We are going to need to do a CJ roundup here in Dexter this summer. I count 5 CJ's, and 3 YJ's all built up in less than a 5 mile radius
The 7 is a lot of fun. Finally got the NO2 hooked up at the end of last season, and it was a whole other animal. I should be able to get the front tires off the ground at the strip this year!!
I am pretty spoiled being only a few hours away from so much fun. I really want to get out to some of the bigger dunes in Oaklahoma. Litte Sahara is pretty sweet.

I know all too well, had one we loved that was such an insane deal that I'll never find it's match. Had to sell it before we moved from NC up here

Hey everyone, joined the site a few months ago but just started getting into the build of my Scrambler (see signature for link/pics) so I thought I'd become a little more active on the forum. I live near Louisville, KY so if anyone nearby needs a hand let me know.
I previously owned a 2008 JK and a 1986 CJ7 over the last couple years. I also had a 1990 grand wagoneer for a short time but just as a donor vehicle since it was in rough shape. Last fall I found my Scrambler project and decided to do an offroad oriented build.

I have some family in southwestern Indiana and I do some work in Madison. Hopefully you guys missed the worst of these storms that just passed through the area.

My name' Sean, just joined. Live in Loveland ,Co and am in WAYYYY over my head. Bought a rust bucket but its what I could afford (and find), wanted one since my 20's so probably didnt buy with my head. To make it worse is the deal with the wife. Its gotta be used, so no frame off restoration. Also a tight budget. So please guys have some compassion and dont cringe to much when you see the things I might do.
Bottom line for me, its ugly and needs tons of work, it has a hive of gremlins, but it moves and its AWESOME!
A little help, how do I change my profile pic? For some reason I'm gettting outsmarted.
