I may get a couple more also. Depends on my time availability. Getting pretty busy around here.
They look great, by the way.

I worked on the Speedhut gauge install yesterday. Will be getting into the garage today and tomorrow as well. Still cleaning up the wireing under the dash. What a mess. I eventually hope to get a new dash panel. It will eliminate the bolted on panels that I made to house the extra switches and "AIR" gauge. When I get a new dash panel I will completely rewire under the dash.

Seeing BigWalton and his label maker wiring job... I HAD to get one. Now my install is taking much longer than I first anticipated. Oh well. :) I should have gotten a label maker like this years ago. Does such a clean job with the shrink wrap.

Labeled shrink wrap with weatherpac connector. :D Sexy...

You going to have enough HP to hang with my TBI on the dunes later on this year:D:rotfl:

Looks good:cheers:

Nice gauges, they're on my list right after my new wheel package soon.

Was in the garage today... Got the under hood wiring done. Wiring for 3 sensors took me all day. But I like to hide all wiring in one loom so it appears stock and clean. It is quite time consuming. I also took the fuse block apart and added additional plugs in empty spots to allow me to pass the gauge wiring through the firewall.
I tested the air pressure gauge by filling up the air system in the Jeep with the shop compressor. It worked perfect!
No pictures because when I'm doing this stuff, I usually get in the zone and forget to eat and go to the bathroom. Pictures are the last thing on my mind!!
I came in around 4pm, had a nap, and I will be heading back into the garage shortly. :D

small project today.

gently remove old dash lights.

take apart new Omix-ada dash lights and remove blue paint from back of display piece.

remove connectors from dash light housing. (gently push in)

remove red part from leds

attached to connectors from dash light, file led down to fit easier into dash light housing

install into housing

testing 1, 2, 3...

cover back on.

during install.

DONE!!! :D (need to put a adjustable resister inline to these, they are much brighter than everything else.)

So sweet. This needs to be a separate write up in electrical. I'd make it a tech article if you throw in where you got the LEDs. :headbang:

Nice work. I like the red. iIs your new lights sealing to the front of dash OK or did you have to make a seal gasket to prevent light bleeding around liens?

great job, you could mass produce these in different colors, all LEDs...make a killing on ebay, etsy, ....put me on the list of buyers

i checked this out Saturday at the dunes and was very impressed.
needless to say i am even more impressed after reading your build thread.
your jeep is even more awesome then it looks

Thanks!! Its awesome to hear from people who appreciate the amount of work I have put into the old girl.

I got the privilege of driving it at sandblast 6. Let me tell you it's one of the best driving 8s on the forum as well. :bacon:

Are you running the "Moab Special" driveshaft:shrug::thumbsup::wave:

Actually... no. I wasn't very smart when we went to Sand Blast... Both my spare drive shafts, including the very awesome, one of a kind, super rare, Moab Special driveshaft was left at home. Given the track record of the shafts that I have gotten from Tom Woods (garbage, made in china parts, for those who dont know) I should have had at least 2 spares. We did make it home from Sand Blast, however, did have a couple problems. Electric fan motor quit AGAIN. I think Tom Woods makes them... The motor only lasts about 1 year. Last year one quit on the way back from the Nationals. Of course they are not a common part so I had to special order them. Ordered 2 just to have a spare. Jeep is also getting HORRIBLE mileage (compared to usual), and the front end is loose. have to check it when I get a chance...

One of my favorite jeeps on the forum !
