More cutting/grinding to get the 20 gallon tank out... 2.73 D marked axles.
Hope to get more of the rear cut out and done... along with the drivetrain out... hoping to wrap this up by the weekend, but just lacking time and energy these days.

Doesn't look like a ton, but I went through multiple cut off discs and a few blades trying to get this stuff off...

I bought one of the cheap China plasma cutters around NewYears, it worked great at chopping up a trash tub. No death wheel dust and much faster. I am sure it will be cheaper than the death wheels over time.

Okay, I've been messaging with him on FB (not my favorite activity), he has the parts fabricated for his future restoration use. He is willing to sell to others but doesn't have an interest at this time of becoming a vendor and managing a sales account.
I'm not sure how parts sales work on the forum, it seems that there are specialty items sold by member to member, but again I'm not sure of what happens on the back end.

He also has full replacement body mounts, plus some other restoration items.

We have a “member vendor” account level that would need to be used for anything approaching retail part sales like this.

Whoever’s doing it needs to have that first.

I don't want to bug him, but am definitely interested in the parts he has. I completely understand not wanting to become a vendor as it adds way too much overhead to your life.

I have a plasma cutter, but in the past it seems that it works for decent metal w/rust... this stuff is paper think for the most part and the frame rails are packed with dirt... it seemed to gum up the tips too quickly for my liking... but yes, it is an option.

Last night's thrash fest... the old school wheels have a buyer locally, so I had to remove them. I got the rear axle out and loaded up the truck with more scrap... I hope to knock this out over the weekend. I need to see if the engine is any good or that becomes a boat anchor as well. This Jeep was definitely rough, but had some good treasures.

Pilot arc? I think that is the key component on cutting trashy metal. It would stay buring through foam (yes, pipe insulation spray foam used to sculpt body lines), window screen, rust, dirt, animal excrement, and other junk.

I was able to chop up an entire tub in 2 hours using the plasma cutter. Only part left now is the firewall.

Got $35 at the metal recycling depot for the trash. Woot woot.

The top of the cowl doesn't look too bad - better than mine was.

As mentioned abover ^^^^ I clean up after every time I make a mess... it isn't fun, it isn't glamarous, but it keeps everything clean and tidy.

Finally getting around to assembling my welding table... I got this a while back, but it was a DIY kit and I didn't have time when I got it... I said yesterday that I would take a break from destruction and focus on "construction".

This has to be welded up underneath and squared(no pics) and then on top welded up and ground down.

I am probably 70% of the way there.
It fits great on the cart too.

The left lower corner looks deceiving... it is square/true all around, I think that it looks high there, not sure why.
After this is all done, I will have a place under for all the clams and such... should work out well.

I guess you can protect rust by going wheeling and then leaving the 10lbs. of dirt and rocks on the skid plate...
