Randyzzz Scrambler Restification Thread!

Now I'm really jealous! :bow::drool::bow:

That Kel-Tec is interesting- looks like it might make a good Jeep gun. Sort of a collapsible scout rifle. Guns are one of my other weaknesses. I recently picked up a Sig 2022 in 9MM, liked it so much I've got another one coming in .40. ..

I love my 2022 9mm. i really like Sigs, haven't shot one yet I didn't like.

This SOOOO SUCKS! I used Webshots for the majority of the pictures in this thread, and the Webshots site shut down last week. My build thread has become pictureless after page 5...

:needpic:

I guess at some point I could take a few days and redownload all the pics direct...that is if I even remember which ones go where.

:banghead:

Randy: I download all my pictures from the camera directly to folders in "My Pictures."

My Scrambler folder has over 1000 pics in it. Guns are about the same. I take lots of pics and use them to show what I'm doing or have done. I contribute a lot at Castboolits.com and use pics to show fine points of reloading.

The new format here goes like this,

Manage Attachments, Add Files, Select File, Libraries, Pictures, Folder, Pic.

UNfortunately you have to repeat the process for every picture you upload, as the site doesn't return you to the folder to choose anther pic, You have to start over at the picture window that comes up after you hit "manage attachments"

That's the way I do it, and that way you are not reliant on some other site storing your pics and going kaput.:banghead:

I still have all my pictures stored both on my hard drive and backed up. I started using Webshots when uploading pictures became more difficult here after one of the updates. I was still using them even after the latest update just because it was easy, especially with resizing. I shoot mostly at 16mp, and I have to resize each picture to about 20% to get them to upload easy here. I have a camera that will take at internet resolution, I just like using my big Sony...

I just rechecked- if it was posted through Webshots, It's gone. Webshots is now "Smile", my pictures all transferred over there, but the links are all broken. And "Smile" appears to be Facebook driven- their desktop must be accessed through Facebook. I'm not a Facebook user, and really don't want to be...this place is all the social network I need. So "Smile" makes me frown.

Does that make me a grumpy old fart?

At least the pics we posted in our threads are still here. I also saved my pics to photobucket so I guess I'll just have to figure out how to link it in my signature.

Well, now I am grumpy. I was going to post a link to my Pics on "Smile"- they're all disorganized, but there. Guess what? On the smile home page there's no option to search for a user unless you're logged in, or on Facebook. I did a search- Even "Smile" recommends using another service if you need to link pictures to forums. BOGUS! Can't even post a link to my pics...have to "invite friends"...

From "Smile"-

Why did my photo and album links in blogs and forums break?
Last Updated: Dec 11, 2012 10:44AM PST
When American Greetings closed the Webshots site, all the old URLs disappeared. (They created a way for people to save their old content, but it was only live until December 3, 2012).

Any external sites that had previously linked to Webshots photos (such as blogs and forums) will now see an error message or a 'page has moved' notice. We are sorry that we were not able to keep up those links. We are recommending that people who want a photo hosting service look into Photobucket or possibly Flickr.

What a load of horse pucky. I'm with you in not "doing FB". Not my thing what so ever and not interested. I guess the question is if your able to salvage your pics and transfer them to a hard drive or something? Not sure exactly what your stuck with or without since I'm as computer savvy as a caveman... :( I just hope you can find them and maybe create some way for folks to access them for reference and such. ;)

Ok, my photobucket address is in my signature now but it is not highlighted as a link, did I do something wrong?

It's working. Now if i could only get mine to work right.

Yours works, you just have to copy and paste it. Try adding the url address /url in [] to either end of it
