SJScrambler - Getting Started

I think they call that coil over springs over springs.

It actually has an air valve like you would have on an inner tube... the tubes are long past their prime, but that just adds to the mystery... bagged coils on springs.

Nothing much to report... just tear down and being more and more amazed (or is it scared) of what people do to their rides and roll around on.

YES... that is a fiberglass mold of a rusty Jeep floor... LOL.

I did unfortunately have a rear axle seal BLOWOUT on the Kubota while plowing the foot n half of snow we got... that put a damper on my morning :(

Ouch! Thought the orange tractors were pretty good. I've got an LT2600DT with 320 hours on it and the FEL valve is acting up. Get her fixed, we all know you can do it!

I haven't had many issues with the tractor... typical hydro lines going, etc. Being HSD, it all relies on it, so when you lose a fitting/hose/seal, it brings the whole thing down.
After much work and a new seal, I am thinking the vent was slightly plugged and the fluid was a little too full and with all the stress of the heavy/wet snow... it just caused the seal to pop out with the presure would be my guess.

Got it all cleaned up... we will see tomorrow/Wednesday how it all works when we get nailed with the snow again.

A great day in the garage yesterday... body is off, most of the rear is off... just need to pull the motor (sold already) and trans and rear axle.
I think I have a buyer already for the frame... which is in very nice shape, which is shocking as to how bad the body was.

The goal is to strip it down tonight, lay the frame on its side and move the Scrambler in for tear down... all before the snow flies.
We will see how it goes.

Didn't make the cut off... got all the automatic linkages off and it took longer than expected.
Scrambler will have to come in tomorrow night after all the snow flies...

So, got the Scrambler in finally after the weather, will start the tear down tonight... saw some interesting things that people might get a kick out of.

Super rare NO bulkhead option:

Ultra rare, super high neck wiper fluid filler:

Pulled it in and got the hood off and gonna let the snow melt over night.

Has a D.U.I setup, Live Wires, as well as aluminum valve cover... someone put in some money into the engine, but they overtightened the gasket so much that oil literally pours out of the valve cover when running

Comparative pictures of a Scrambler vs. the new build... amazing how much smaller it is height and length wise.

Creeping along... had a lot of work stuff come up as well as a lot of other personal things... but slowly it is coming apart.

More dismantiling... someone bought the rollbar, so I have to remove that tonight.
Parts selling has been slowed due to the weather, hopefully it picks up.

It is a myth... PB blaster only works in southern and western states, it won't work on New England rust unfortunately.
