Went across the street this evening to the neighbors, they did some pork. I helped during the afternoon the only way they would allow me to. Dutch oven breakfast. Eggs, linguiça, potatoes, and plenty of Tillamook Sharp. Nothing like cooking on the front porch, in the rain.

I forgot to take a pic, but had a Prime Rib for dinner last night along with a small turkey breast and a bunch of great sides. Delicious. I was going to smoke the prime rib, but my wife convinced me to do it in the oven. Turned out great either way. Merry Christmas to all!

We went to a nieces house today. Almost didn’t get a picture, before things were eaten. Some Cajun boudin and a small prime rib her husband cooked on his Traeger and plenty of great sides. Those things work great.

That means leftovers for lunch on Christmas Day, Nachos were excellent.

My brother told me about this cut of meat. Rack of pork . Never done one but it came out pretty good. Especially at around $3 a pound. Also tried a different type of Jambalaya with black eye peas and some corn bread on the side. Happy New Year !

Salmon, wild caught if that makes a difference to anyone on the grill headed to a salad. Much faster than my Holland that I’ve used for 15 years so there’s a learning curve for me.

I can vouch that these came out great. It wasn’t just that I was starving by the time I arrived at John’s house. The pork tasted wonderful.
