What's on your Work Bench?

That is a lot of tachs... wish I could come up with something catchy, but my bad cold prevents me from being funny.

Picture of the work bench from the end of last week...

I got the $2 parts bins hung up on the end of the bench and found a couple of pretty nice slot wheels for a good price... still need a couple more to complete a set.

The 16 oz. aluminum BL cans are interesting... not sure why you need to be able to "reseal" a beer, but I will try anything once... I resealed it and then unsealed it and finished it, I don't get it... lol.

They make great targets. Fill with water and they blow apart nicely. Great for beginning shooters to show a hit.

You sir have given me an idea... I wonder if that will work with a pellet gun as well, I finally rebuilt one from the 70's and want to give it a try.. figure a few of them hung from a tree and I can give it a go... thanks!

Pellet guns don't do jack against a raccoon. The skin is too tough.

I have the old dizzy from the 401 and a piece of metal so I can transfer the cut to the other rocker knocker...

I finally rolled into Havasu... it's good to be home and my front porch looked like Christmas! I am single handedly keeping FedEx and UPS in business! Jeep parts everywhere and a little reloading thrown in for safe measures.

Nice stash! I like your old Hamilton drafting table for your work bench. I still use my old Hamilton with a Vemco in my office at home.

I've been wanting to post in this thread but ever since moving into our new house (almost a year ago now!) and taking care of our baby, just getting TO the work bench has been a problem. Today I set to the task of finally cleaning it up!

What I started with (and I actually took this pic after I had started and had to stop to take it):

How it looks now (not totally done but at least useable now!):

Congrats on the clean-up.... Kudos for making it a year in that state, it would have killed me!

You guys with space in your garage to work make me jealous. I have a tool chest and a fridge. Then 2 cars and that fills it all up. If I sold the GTO and did not park in my side maybe. That is why my work benches are in my shop in the basement. Just cant do much car related work down there.

Way to go Polarfire, looks great. I hear about this kid(s) thing all the time.. It's not your fault :p

I am going to try to make it a year now with actually having a clean work bench... that will be the challenge!

As for the kid thing... so far this week, one trip to the ER for a "learning to fly" moment that led to a bump on the head, 2 complete and total breakdowns because one wanted to watch one movie vs. another, and a few noses turned up at food made which lead to making other food (even though I said that it was that or nothing... I was overruled)... a broken outside faucet that led to water everywhere in/out side and finally and construction of a new trellis has left very little time for any work at the work bench, let alone anything on the Jeeps.

Kids have a way of doing that!

You have to watch the workbench very carefully... sometimes things JUMP off of it and grab some new sneakers and a friend for a hat and mount themselves....

I just wish my cell phone camera took better pics as this wheel came out great! I still need to clean the blue off the white letters.

Working on another set I found in a barn... looks like they were never stripped of clear coat, then some black paint was put on, then removed and now I am stripping them fully and seeing what is underneath... whatever is on these guys is tough stuff... taken a whole lot longer than normal to get that stuff stripped.
