I have some Levi blue visors that need to be cleaned like that, also my blue seat needs to be cleaned, anyway you would divulge your technique


 
We use purple power full strength in a spray bottle and various degrees of scrubbing. Toothbrush over the threads tho on a seat if you use anything stiffer sometimes you will destroy the near 40 year old stitching... For stiffer scrubbing I use one of those golf shoe cleaner brushes that have metal on one side and soft bristles on the other side, Those work well to get in the creases. This girl I know cleans most of my seats while I turn wrenches ... Although in a less busy life I used to do it myself...


 
Pretty much was JerseyJeeps said... I use a stiff plastic scrub brush and some smaller ones for the nooks/crannies... some greased lightining, orange cleaner, green stuff, purple stuff, whatever it is at full strength.
A lot of scrubbing.

CB never shows his magic on the inside of the wheels so here's a couple pics of my weekend work. Five different wheels, and this one was probably the worst with old brake pad dust and dirt caked on maybe 1/8" thick. Two rounds of spray stripper and lots of scrubbing. Forgot to take the before picture prior to spraying so looks wet and bubbly.

Very cool... they clean up so much inside... sometimes you see a little surface rust under it all up in the edges, but all in all, 1000% better than what you start with.
Yours look to be in very very good shape.

Thanks. This set came out of California and are in excellent shape on the front and now the back. There is definitely some surface rust on the inner welded edge and back of the spokes on all. However, I figure once they are mounted, the back of the spokes will not show, but that chrome shine on the outer ring should be visible. The wheel in the picture seemed to have the most caked on residue but the least surface rust - probably not a coincidence. These will go on the '85 Scrambler restoration.

I know Jersey has a process as well that involves spraying the backside with chrome paint after cleaning. That makes for a great look as well and I bought a set from him earlier in the year.
 
Don't have to use a piece of conduit to hold open the rear hatch door.

Thanks to Raymond (Spankrjs) he sent me the numbers for the gas struts and they were the correct one and work good!!!!

After getting the struts and finding they work another friend suggest I check out "Lift Support Depot" I found the same spec strut for less money.

Lift Supports Depot SE170P60N10S Gas Charged Lift Support, so if you need struts or even brackets to fab some thing (I was missing a bracket and got it from them) I suggest you check them out.
 
Finally found an old 8274 cover in good shape with the "gear" on it. Gotta get it cleaned up.

Gonna get started on building my workbench sofa. Found this 1980 Waggy Laredo rear seat at the salvage yard. A little dirty, but should clean up and the fabric is in great shape. Plan on using the fold-and-tumble brackets/lock to add this to the top of a storage box killing two birds...

Since I use my trash and recycle bins as a garage workbench until I build one, i think this counts. Painting my full fiberglass doors.
