Hey guys, LS swap on my 1981 CJ5 using a 1999 Trans Am LS1. I need advice on transmission options. I’ve read about AX15, NV4500, and SM465, but not sure what’s best. I don’t want to invest in my current 3-speed since it won’t handle LS torque. Looking for a reliable setup for mostly street and light off-road. What are you running?

Hey Mike did you ever get an answer about your Brake Booster. I have one in my big jeep but would like something similar is my second one. Read the string your in about this. Any help is appreciated. Also, if your interested In coming down, im5 are doing March Madness again. March 18, 19 and 20.

I've got two Acme full hardtops. I've been meaning to try to get a picture of the one in the storage bldg. It's black and in decent shape. It could use some fresh paint. It is unusual in the fact that it has 3 handles on the hatch. The gray one on my wife's Scrambler has two. Some only have one. I'll try to get you some pictures.

I've got it on its side. All glass is good. Fiberglass is in nice shape . . . one small chip on the hatch under the driver side handle. Rubber around the fixed side window has shrunk. I think the center handle mechanism got stiff and the outer two handles were added. If you are interested, $900 should make it worth your trip. All Acme tops look the same. I consider them better made . . . double wall top.

Thanks for pics!. $900 would be a great deal. Mike at Xtreme tops is going to make one of his tops this week and confirm some measurements I sent him of my full length roll cage. If it fits under his top, I will buy it. If not, I would consider your Acme top. The Acme tops looks slightly higher in the back. I like the flatter look of the Xtreme top better but if it won't clear my cage, the Acme is an option.

Just acquired a CJ-8 Alaskan Postal Scrambler! First mission will be to find the cargo door. The original may be in the Caribou hills on the Southern Peninsula. However, that is a long shot at best.

can somebody please send me pics of a installed fold n tumbler rear seat?? I have all the hardware and the seat, just don't know where to drill the holes in my floor for the seatbelts and the seat mounts. Please post pics here or email them to me at Preacher_scott@hotmail.com. Thank you.
