Anybody having trouble using iphone Tapatalk app? I can't access the web page from there. Trying to upload pics from my phone.

Reckon your tow bar was a little down hill! Haha Glad you got her into a good new home.

Is it me or is your P/S pump at a severe angle? Don't know if that matters but if its runnin' steering AND brakes you may want to keep the fluid in it? :)
And believe me... I FEEL YOUR PAIN with moving! I'm stuck in Germany and pay storage for 2 Jeeps! No "free" place to work on any of them so that costs a bundle too! Can't wait to get back stateside! My poor Scrambler hates me since I haven't touched it in months other than to store stuff in it! haha!
Looking good on the build! Can't wait to hear that beast crank up!

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those mesurements will get me going. I started driving the bread truck back and forth to work on monday just to be sure there are no hidden bugs in it, We have been going out at night and putting about 30 miles per trip on it every eve as well.

I was going to try and keep the tcase were it is now located in hopes of using the stock drive shafts at least until i rip them out. You dont know if your tcase is close to it original location?

The power steering pump reservoir only bolts up one way. It looks more severe in the pic than it really is. It should hold up fine.

I can tell you if you give me a reference of where your t-case is. Take a pic and give me some measurements and I'll let you know.

It runs! I have been looking up about wastegates and I no nothing about turbos honestly, besides the basic concept. I've seen some guys say I will never over speed, but if I do then it will do major damage so of course I want to take the safe route. Anyone got any advice? I'm looking for an internal wastegate if possible.

Hope everyone had a good 4th of July!

I had the day off and spent it working on the jeep of course, shooting fireworks with my little bro, and watching my dog run around with lit fireworks in his mouth. He is a crazy pup.

Got the transmission, transfer case, and drive shafts installed. I also built the crossmember for the transmission.

The crossmember was a pain to build without a tube notcher. Had to use the angle grinder to cut and shape a half circle. It turned out well, but next time I'll probably just buy a tube notcher or pay someone.

This weekend I plan on installing the crossmember and trying to knock out more of my To Do list.

I welded the perches and the cross member over the weekend.

I also cleaned up the engine and painted it.

I picked up the Ford Shock towers. Going to use them for the front and rear. I'll be picking up some shocks when I head over to pick up my pitman arm.

Things are coming to their final stages, but that makes me more cautious and patient so I don't overlook anything and make a mistake. It's still hard for me to believe that my engine will run efficiently on power to the fuel shutoff solenoid alone(of course starter and alternator as well). There are 2 more wiring points on the fuel pump that I need to research and ensure that they are in fact not needed.

I ordered my bellhousing and trans and a clocking ring this morning and when they get here I will be right behind you. I hope to keep my dana in the same location.

If you run in to any problems or have questions before doing anything let me know. I've made some mistakes in this build so I'd be happy to pass some knowledge on to you to help your process. Good luck!

This trans is supposed to have a twenty three spline gas output shaft so the guy said with a clocking ring the t case should fit fine. He said the clocking ring takes up space so he would not have to cut length off the out put shaft. Did you have to shorten your output shaft?

I didn't use the clocking ring and my output shaft was for a diesel (dodge). It mated up perfectly. You can see in the pics that the D300 is turned down more than usual but I have no problem with it's placement other than aesthetic look. I might have an issue with the D300 shifter, but I broke mine anyway so I'll be building a new one. I also turned my engine a couple degrees to it's left (looking forward from the drivers seat). This gave me more clearance between the driveshaft and the oil pan. It does bother me the way it looks though. I have the manual for the cummins 4bt and I also went to the cummins dealer and ordered a parts catolog for my engines serial number, that way I know I am ordering the right part for the right year. It was about 50 or 60 bucks but worth it to me. I can email you the 4bt manual. It has all you need for installing, wiring, adjusting, etc.

So what was your spline count on the tranfer case Twenty three??

I'm pretty sure mine was 23. It's all mated up now. The Dana 300 is 23 so it has to be 23 on the NV4500 output shaft. I was curious about the clocking ring if I ever decided to put one in would I have to get a longer output shaft or not. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

That's so strange. My Dodge NV had 29 splines and I had to use the clocking ring for my application. *scratches head*

I may be wrong about the guy I talked to but he seemed to know his stuff, particulary four bt swaps into jeeps. He said twenty nine is a hd diesel out put and he would install me a gas output shaft which would make it mate to the dana but the shaft was to long with out using a clocking ring. When my trans gets here I will confirm if a clocking ring was really needed.
