More snow than we have. Rusty6 came up for a weekend of snow-wheeling. Good thing we had chains...IMG_20180312_091701.jpg

January blizzard. Buddy with street tires. Off a driveway, about to rub some trees. 10" of snow at that point, and coming down hard. I got the call "Hey, you have a winch, right?"

So last night I pulled the Jeep outside so I could work on my sisters car. Hours later I open the garage and discovered it snowed several inches... I couldn't resist, I had to screw around a little with the jeep around our property. I really wish there wasn't salt on the road. I love driving in the snow.

Have you ever seen a scrambler rescue a H1 hummer? I got to pull my buddy out today!!!
He just needed a little nudge. I had the front and rear ARB's locked, and RPM's up...after turning the front wheels back and forth, my scrambler finally found enough traction to do the job. I'll NEVER let my buddy live this one down.

Actually, yes, I have seen it. At Camp Jeep years ago, Matt Donaghy pulled one that was stuck on a stump. We had a good laugh.

All you guys living in snow, you enjoy it, or just tired of it?

I love it...but then again I like to ski and snow shoe, anything outdoors, etc. Most people that complain about winter around here seem to like the couch more than anything! My only dislike about winter is the salt on the roads.

I do all the outdoor stuff in winter. Hunt, ski,ice fish, sled, etc. But at 60 plus, I'm getting kind of tired of working on the Jeeps in the barn and dealing with the snow and ever worsening poor driver's. I like it, but I would like it better if I could just visit in the winter and then go home to 50"s or 60's. ?

I also love it. I have been snowboarding for 24 years now. Like Scott I hate the salt. People need to just learn how to drive. Having 4 seasons is great. For the most part we don't get super hot summers or super cold winter's. Usually it doesn't get too extreme for more than maybe a couple weeks. No big deal.

SNOW Pics. Lets c'em

Many of us love wheeling in the snow. Brings those feelings deep inside us like no other. :woot:
I saw Scott P started a thread in the Midwest Region section on a Snow Wheeling trail ride. That prompted me to start this thread. (thanks Scott:-) I am sure many others would love to see your snow pictures and stories that may go with them:thumbsup:.

Don't drive mine in the snow on the roads up here for the salt, but I did take it out last year to play in the vacant neighborhood next to ours.

THIS. Not having snow means you’re getting cheated out of some of the best parts of the seasons. Lived in the mid-Atlantic for years and it would take a miracle to get me to move back.

What I always say is that it may snow and be so cold you don’t want to go outside in winter here, but I’ll trade that ALL DAY for it being beautiful out but so hot and humid you don’t want to set foot outside for weeks on end in summer.

I also DESPISE what I call the “30 degree rain” in NC winter. I contend that 36 and rain makes you feel colder than when it’s 20 and snowing. Wet and somewhat cold feels worse than when you can be outside and your coat, gloves, hat, etc stay perfectly dry. You damn sure don’t mind staying out in it (playing with kids, winter sports, Jeeping, etc) vs not wanting to be in cold rain any longer than you absolutely have to.

Lots of folks that I explain the “when-would-you-rather-stay-inside” trade off to have never thought about it that way. I know first hand how many beautiful summer days were wrecked entirely by heat and humidity, people here huddle inside in winter, in NC, they do it in summer.

Okay,
Not technically snow (quarter size hail) and I'm not sure if there are any Jeeps in the pic...but, this is from today on the Bee-Line in Cocoa, FL.
