Been interested in doing a chuck roast myself.No pics, but did a chuck roast on the Traeger along with 2 pork butts. The butts are still on, but I took the roast off at 165 and it was really good. Had seen folks doing those instead of a brisket, but thought I would sacrifice a $12 pc of meat instead of a full packer cut brisket. Butts got about 10 degrees to go. Pre cooking to freeze and bring in the MH for the CO trip...![]()



Did one of these awhile back. Alot of people said it was the best thing out of the smoker yet. Ill say it was really damn good and it rivals the bacon explosion and bacon wrapped cheddar cheese jalapeños for me.Been interested in doing a chuck roast myself.

You are spot on. I just got lucky at the grocery store. Actually found a tri tip to make. Probably gonna brine it and let it marinate a bit. Won't be making it till next weekend but definitely looking forward to this oneDid you prep it and cool it like a brisket or some other method?
