I had fuel leaking from the OEM sending unit not sealing properly and I got tired of the fuel gauge not working correctly, So I added 3 threaded studs at that location and went with a gas-resistant sealant and cork gasket. I also cut in an aftermarket JAZ fuel cell sending unit.
