On mine I'm just using a throttle cable from a 1980 CJ-7 with V8. Pops right into place on the firewall, but I had to zip tie the cable on the carb end to hold it in place. Your setup looks cleaner/ nicer.

Well I got the window felts installed. Ebay deal, Omix offshore stuff. Made it here around 8pm this evening. Went in no problem at all. Worthwhile for anyone that has the cracked, decrepit 35 year old ones still on their full hard doors.

Then I installed the Rugged Ridge hood catches
Then I installed the 7/16"-20x2" long bolts to attach the seatbelt upper roll bar attachment point. I did a little research and what they called out for a bushing was a shock bushing/stabilizer bushing. Remember my buy from Romania?........Used those and 2 ball joint dust covers to dress things up a little.
and lastly the outside
I'm going to have to take the top off of the MC 2150 as this pig won't go under load. I really think that there's a jet or something clogged up from some trash in the gas tank. I'll update soon.

I stripped it down, soda blasted it and put it back together with a full kit. I'll get to it in a night or two. Pics are from March 10, 2017

My little helper and I removed the carb and had a look inside. Sure as sh$t it had "something" in it. We took it all apart, cleaned it with aerosol, blew it out with compressed air and reassembled it. Had to take a break and cook a nice grilled chicken breast on a bed of spinach for Mrs. CJ8 as requested, then it was back to installing the cleaned up carb. Got it installed and filled the bowl with some fuel and just a jag down the throat and the ol'pig fired right up. I let it warm up and set the mixture screws, backed the idle down a bit, adjusted the mixture again and let it run for the next 20 minutes. It ran LIKE A SEWING MACHINE! Taking her out on the road tomorrow and I've got a surprise coming too! Stay tuned.
