Supposedly there was a factory there back in the day, was what he was told. Maybe for military Jeeps. Would be interesting to know more.
 
The wheel wells look interesting too. Could not use a stock 8 roll bar.

But I do like the idea of the galvanized tub.

I wondered if that is actually one of the stretched Wrangler bodies that the Egyptian army had?
 
Came across this on YouTube. Was interviewed last Jeep Invasion by Dave Dobson of Motorhead Garage TV. This is on his YouTube page. Guess it ran during an episode earlier this year. Ignore the ducks... When at the Invasion you can't help but get them...

 
The galvanized 8 tub reminds me of the back of a D90 or D110, with the jump seats on either side. I do like the idea of a galvanized tub as well, wouldn't need it in the desert where I live, but up north, or in the snow areas that use the road salt, hell yeah, galvanized would be nice.

Anybody else bought the Bestop traditional bikini but the straps weren’t long enough? If so, what’d you do to extend them and make them reach. My footman loops are installed on the rear of each wheel wells.

One cool thing that’s coming is the previous owner reached out and is sending me a bunch of his stuff he had in storage. Buckets, console, rear seat and a few other things. All he wanted in exchange were to send his custom foot pegs back that he left under the seat. :cheers:

Nothing fancy but he said his buddy has a shop and they work on a lot of jeeps. That’s where the “SIRJC” comes from. He’d like to have them back since his buddy made them for him. I think it’s a decent deal considering free seats and a console. Haha
