I'm working on it and hope to have something tonight...........if anyone wants to send a doanation to the listed paypal or my home address then i'm going to leave it open for at the next two weeks and then i'll forward what i have collected to Chris's wife and anything else that comes in after that time.....right now we have collected $100.00 and i'm sure more will come,may not be a lot but i'm sure any will help with groceries or just fuel back and forth to the hospital........i'll post more after i get some news back......lets just all pray that it's good news-JC
 
Specific Needs?

JC, are there any specific needs that can be addressed? I realize that because most of us don't live close to Chris and his family, we might not be able to help, but you never know, maybe some of us can.
 
Phil i hope to talk to his wife today and i ask her if there is anything that needs to be taken care of and if so,then i'll let everyone know.......I tried to call her just a little while ago,and left a message...........I'll try her again later on this afternoon-JC
 
Great News!

Just got of the phone with Chris's wife and got some really great news!.......Chris's fever broke today and he was able to get up and walk to a chair and sit down on his own today! She said his chest is starting to clear out where he can breath better also!..........He is going to have to wear a collar on his neck for at least the next 4 months while is neck is healing up,she said he was more alert today and she was able to talk to him and he could carry on a conversation with her.She said to keep the prayers coming and she really belived that our prayers as a group has given all of them strenght and has helped Chris.If you would like to send cards you can send them to:

He is in George Washington Universty Hospital in D.C. and the visting hours are from 10-8 you might want to call ahead if you plan to go by and make sure he's up to vistors...........I didn't get the room number but i'm sure if you call information for the Hospital you can find out............He's not out of the woods yet so keep him in your prayers guys!
 
That is awesome news. Thanks for the follow up JC. Been trying to get this tow rig ready for trip and it got to late for me to call and check on Chris today.

As I will be on the road the next few day please either you or Jerry continue to check on him.

Thank the Lord for that good news. He's definitely a deserving individual. Thank you to everyone who's kept us informed of Chris' condition.
 
Great News!

I've called Diana and left voicemail, but have not heard back yet - I'm sure she is quite overwhelmed and stressed to a breaking point.

JC, since you seem to have been in more close/consistent contact w/ her, why don't I step back and allow you to take over from Truck? That way, Diana will have one less person to worry about contacting. However, I am here for any 'close-in firesupport' you want/need.

So far as visiting Chris, I do not think I better... Joanne was diagnosed w/ strep throat yesterday, and I am currently battling a sinus infection. No sense in slowing Chris' recovery by giviing him more germs to battle.

Being down the road about an hour (from hospital), is there anything (else) I can do now?
 
I asked her and she said that for now things are being taken care of,her mom is helping with the kids as well as some of the neighbors and she said that their church has also rallied around them to help with things.I will try to give her another call Thursday and check back in with her.............considering the things going on,she sounds like she has a handle on everything.....She sounded pretty calm and was even joking around some.......so i think that is a good sign also...........Chris has a strong wife and family from the few times i've talked to him and emailed him........as well as his Scrambler Family. ;)

Sorry to post here, but I am post-challenged. While all you guys are busy pulling up your jeans, think about Chris trying to pull DOWN his gown so the nurses don't get ANOTHER shot of his manlihood.

He is greatly improved. He is down to an IV pole and a chest tube that continues to drain. He got out of bed and walked down the hall past the nurses station 3 times today. Great accomplishment.

Hey, if roll bars are ever optional, Chris would say "take the option"! If you guys can educate me about how, I will post a thread with pictures of his demolished truck - or email me and I'll email them to one of you and you can post them for me! MartinsChaos@truevine.net.

He is a very blessed man. After seeing the truck, I know my husband isn't finished here on this earth, because he ought to be dead! Crushed doesn't even begin to describe it! There were 3 inch branches driven through the wheel areas (don't ask me for technical parts) and under the chasse.

Updates

Talked to someone in Chris house tonight(dang didn't get the name) and Chris has been moved into his own room and had his condition upgrade and can move around some on his own before he gets tired...........hope is he will get the drain tube removed pretty soon..........but the thing is he's up moving under his own power..............guys so far we have collected $200.00 that i will forward to his wife Monday along with these post if i can get them to print correctly..........Thanks to everyone that has contributed-JC
