Jeep Snow Pics...Post 'em up!

One old...one new...

The Scrambler's first winter...late 1982:

Does distant snow count? Took this last Friday, before the most recent storm blanketed the mountains with a bunch more and left 3 inches at my place in the foothills of those mountains. I probably will not see the ground until some time in March:

Moab itself doesn't get that much snow. But I'm 26 miles outside of town and 2000 feet higher. I average about 5 feet of snow per year. As of Dec. 1, 2015, I had 18 inches and ended last season with 5 ft. 9 inches. So far this year: only 4 inches.

Wow still having a hard time taking that in. Passed through there around 20 years ago right after Memorial Day weekend and rented a CJ 7 in town and my dad and I wheeled the area for a couple of days. Seamed like just about he driest place on earth, that being said I was born out in Arizona. Even growing up in Oregon we didn't get that kind of snow except up in the mountains where we had a cattle range near Crater Lake

This is the only chance of seeing a Jeep and Snow in the same picture in Louisiana.

10 more days until it's officially Winter. I want to keep my snowplow in storage as long as possible. People always comment how it must be fun to plow, I tell them only for the first 5 minutes of the first storm of the season. Then it's a pain in the @&& and my back.

It can get old on the body. Shifting a Peterbilt for a 30 hour shift isn't exactly all fun. The paycheck is darn nice though.

Doing snow testing of the IROK NDs for the next issue in the LJ yesterday.

Fantastic snow tire thus far, really impressed. LJ is good to test in because it doesn't have ABS. I had to get way out on the very, very edge of where I was comfortable with my speed before I could force them to significantly lose traction (way faster than I would ever go on those types of roads in any other situation) and even then it made for some nice drifting once I was used to it :D

None here either... 😉 we did get a base last week up north which was enough that the boys could ride their sleds-

Interco wheels look great....and as usual, the overland style hard top is kick ***.

Finally got some snow. At 4 am I had 1-2 inches on the truck. By 7:30 we had 8-10 inches. By around 9 it stopped.20161215_075213.jpg20161215_090140.jpg
