Has anyone tried a LJ or unlimited safari/bimini top for a scrambler yet? I want a bikini top that covers the back seats for my kids.
 
A lurker no longer. lol I'm new to active forum participation but not to Jeeping. I've owned many Jeeps for 42 years. started at 16 with a 1962 Willys PU, currently own a 1982 Laredo Scrambler project. Its my second scrambler in 25 years. I enjoy reading and using the information collected on this site. Thank You from the great white north.

The windshield header is a different animal on LJs and JKs and will take some work to adapt on a CJ frame.

how do I send a photo from my I phone to this thread? I'm not very savvy with this stuff. I'm a sledge hammer mechanic (millwright):confused:

As for posting pictures.....Pan A: Ask your kids or , as I do, Grandkids. :thumbsup:

Plan B: Tapatalk app for smartphones. (That is my entire knowledge of this cyber-space thingy)

Plan C: There is a thread on here that tells you how, and I'd tell you how if I could find it. :shrug:

Plan D: Ask Bigwalton, or ANYONE but me to explain anything to do with operating this computer thingy.

Definitely not trying to be a "lurker"

Bought my dream 1983 Jamaica Beige Scrambler 3 years ago, 3rd Owner Car, decent shape except for the goofy hunting body wrap. Well, after sourcing a Brand new 2005 4.0 L motor , this thing has been a mechanic friend's "side project" for almost 3 years. Completion of the motor swap is nearing an end, so I'll be posting many questions during the body restoration phase. I'm going all stock except the motor (it will be driven). I have sourced / collected many parts new and old to try and bring her back to original Jeep Specs.

Still debating full hardtop for half cab ( personally like the half cab)

Anyways, learning more and more everyday from this awesome website. Thanks again.

Hello everyone,

Went and jumped head first into money pit circa 1981. Look forward to gaining the knowledge of those on this board.
 
Have been around for a while now but just kind of lurking in the shadows and towing Trucks Scramblers around when we get time to go to a Nationals. Well Yall have swayed me and I picked up an 81 scrambler project today. I am sure Chris (fisherman) is sad to see it go but i am glad he did. I will do my best to get her back on the road as soon as possible.

That's awesome. Now you're going to have to get a bigger trailer to haul both Scramblers.

That's great Jake! Glad to see it. Sorry Chris gave up on it, but now it's in a good home to get it done.

LOL already been trying to work a deal with my landscaper friend I am sure he needs a 40 foot goose-neck for something.
