The hardest day of my life....

Your in the jeep family and you will be added in my family prayers!
Sorry to hear you are going through this tuff time. I could not
even image: The doctor telling me, telling my wife, and then having
to go home and tell my kids with a strong straight face that everything
is going to be ok! Keep strong and fight!

We refer to rust in our Jeeps as cancer. So, look at like this - your body man called and said "Yep, body's in great shape. There's just a small spot of rust. And, it's just surface rust (stage 1)". You'd beat that, and you'll beat this. You're in our thoughts and prayers. ;)

I like the way Manhattan says it... We're here for ya.

My wife's is a doctors head nurse specializing in head & neck. She said you've already completed one of the hardest things telling the wife and kids. It's going to be hard being strong for the family. Hopefully this forum can be a shoulder for you to lean on. You have a shoulder to lean on if you ever have to get something off you're mind. God bless you and you're family and you in out prayers.

As our brother Toby and others have said. Though it is sometimes hard to do, KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Not just for you but for you family and friends. The way you handle this will reflect on the way they handle it. You have to be the example. This is not gloom and doom. This is an issue that requires strength to work through. You can make this happen.

I have already added you and you family to our church prayer list that covers all 14 of the wester states. Prayer is going up.

Praying for you, too. In addition to your doctors advice, search the web for all info you can find on your condition and what makes cancer grow (it feeds on sugar) and what foods will slow or starve cancer cells. The processed and GM foods are inhibiting our body's ability to fight off problems. Microwaved foods are unhealthyt, too. Hormone and antibiotic injected meat isn't doing our health any favors either. Organic meats and vegetables are a good start. Might want to see a naturalpath or homeopathic doctor for suggestions on suppliments that could help. They can do a blood test to see what supliments will get you firing on all cylinders. At this time, there is nothing more important than understanding what is going to get your body and immune system in top condition so you can fight off health problems and stick around to enjoy your kids and grandkids.

Praying for you and your family! Stay positive!

Positive mind drives positive results. You are in our thoughts and prayers

To everyone, I want to thank you for your kind words, positive spirit, and willingness to include our family in your prayers. I am not one who asks for help, I prefer to help others. My post last night was more cathartic than anything else, but the beeps on my iPhone today kept bringing tears to my eyes as I read the responses.

I am strong and we will persevere.

Thanks to Keith, Tower210 who asked about Da Vinci... I knew nothing last night and am a minor expert today. I was able to get into the Mayo Clinic next week in Phoenix with the chief urologist for a consult and 2nd opinion. Not sure how.. such short notice, but thank you for your post.

Again, words cannot express the appreciation I feel. God bless.

I'm so sorry to hear this. We are the same age. I had a life changing (almost life ending) accident almost three years ago. The hard times made me stronger, and it made my relationships more meaningful. You will beat this, and be better for it. Keep your chin up, there's alot of prayers going up for you.

If you need anything while here in PHX. Let me know. Email me at dmock@gmail.com anytime. You will be in good hands at Mayo. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as well.

Prayers to you and your family. To quote an old retired priest from my hometown area: "Never underestimate the power of prayer." This quote has always stuck with me and something I truly believe!
