Did you install a double lip seal on the Dana 300 input shaft?

Not that I am aware of. I installed a 32 spline shaft along with the clocking ring. The prior owner of the t-case installed the 4:1 kit and twij stick kit.
When I took the input shaft apart, I did use some black rtv in the areas I thought needed extra sealing. Hope it worked. So far so good. I got it reinstalled along with a new transmission oil seal at the output. It appears to be dry under there for jow. I reserve judgement until after I drive it some.

Too hot to work inside the garage or enclosed canopy. It was 93 here today, with humidity it is 107!!! So, a shade tree!!!

Got a replacement water pump and a swivel neck. Going to get this thing beat one way or another. Also got a bunch of A/C fittings. Still waiting on a drier, thermostat, and some bolts. The Melling water pump came packaged better and all the surfaces were good. Bearing nice and solid with no play. The upper hose outlet was dinged, but I’ll be cutting that shorter anyways.
