Reminds me of this 1965 Piper Aztec I flew 15 years ago. Took it in for its annual inspection. It burned a quart of oil every 2-3 hours in the left engine. That engine was also getting pretty close to its recommended overhaul. The mechanic was an older gentleman that was pretty experienced. Asked if that oil consumption was anything to be concerned about. He stated "No, as long as you keep adding oil." Wise words... hahaha

Actually, it's dryer vent pipe :ROFLMAO:

The original rubber hose is long gone, needed something to go between the air filter housing and the intake, this works in a pinch.

Put the water pump on yesterday, new alternator and a bunch of wiring, and a new hydraulic filter. Used it to smush dirt for about 2 hours, ran/worked beautifully. I was kind of scared it would shake the fillings out my teeth with the vibratory function engaged!!!!!!

The black stick with the hole attaches to the pedal and the end with the silver tip, screws onto the post on the booster. The cotter pins just hold those two rods to the bracket.

All installed now. Just need to bleed the brakes. Will do that in the nicer weather tomorrow. It started to rain.
 
So, I’ve been in the new place for a hair over 2 months. All I can say is…”What workbench?”

I’m planning on fixing that next week. Still have about 30 of those black and yellow tires to unpack, and a bunch of boxes. I have to believe it will end some day.
 
Out of curiosity where did you get that booster from?

Looks like 2 ft wide. Wish I had gone with 3 ft but I have a small garage to work with. Looking good !

Thank you! Yeah, 2’ wide and 10’ long. There’s a 2x3 heavy steel table that’s about 5” shorter, it will mount next to the long run. It’s about 1/4” thick- weighs a ton. That’s where the vise mounts and where I beat on stuff. I’m in a 20’x21’ garage so I have to keep it small. The key is not to clutter it up with junk- don’t use it for storage. That’s why I built the shelves below.
