Question since y’all have been looking at them, is there a 392 Gladiator? Just curious….

Yes. Dealers get kickback from lending institutions for arranging financing. Not a lot, maybe 1% loan value. Supposedly......

Pay cash, no kickback.....

Never occurred to the government back then that if you pay a kid $15/hr to put milk on a shelf then milk can no longer be $5/ gallon. Funnily enough, now minimum wage is nearly $25/hr and folks still can't buy anything more than they could before it was so high. Economics are a funny thing.

If they even sold the 392 there I bet it would be close to $200,000.

Anybody that thinks they can hire somebody for minimum wage is a fool. Kind of hard to get some one to work for $7.25/hour when the local gas stations pay $17 - $21 for entry level positions and Amazon warehouses pay $13 - $20 for entry level positions.

Average starting construction labor positions are mid $20’s currently and it is HARD to find people to work at those rates.

I’ve financed to get the lower price and then paid it off in 30 days to get the best deal.
 
Not sure many of these $84k off road vehicles ever leave the pavement. They sure are purty though.

When I bought my silverado they gave me a 5 year, 150,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for financing. I had to keep the loan for 1 year. I paid $3800/ month into it and paid it off at 12 months. Worked out to where I got a $3500 warranty for about $2000 in financing costs. Not great, but better than nothing.
 
Got the new engine installed on the Dr Field and Brush mower this morning:

Like all my projects, snowballed. While engine was out I changed the transmission belt, replaced the broken differential lock cable, and installed a new clutch cable since the original was starting to fray. Also installed new fuel lines and swapped the easy engine oil drain hose assembly from the old engine on to the new engine. Need to order a new muffler since the current muffler is cracked in multiple places. Engine fired up easy enough and ran fine. Differential lock and clutch working as they should. Pretty easy machine to work on.

Time to park it until I get back from Michigan. I just wanted to have it mostly back together before I leave. Time to knock out a few last minute Red Scrambler projects before the long trip north!!
