What's on your Work Bench?

Yep, I have winches on all of mine or I'd be all over one of those frame covers.
 
Not on my workbench but where my workbench will be. Footings for a 24x36 post and beam barn/garage. I am pretty sure this was the spot of previous inhabitants trash pile.

Just picked up the Runck bumper I bought that was delivered and picked up from the Abbot’s swap meet in GA. Thanks Wes for selling and Bryan for transporting. I am looking forward to adding the top center cross bar and cleaning it up. This one was for a vehicle with a plow. I plan to add the crossbar to protect my winch. I am a happy Jeeper right now.

Too big for a workbench, performing differed maintenance and modifications on a loaner trailer. Needs several bearings replaced or repacked. Lost a tire on the way to the national, so one of the taillights needs replacing. The owner plans to redeck it this summer when he redecks his 35’ float.

It was originally equipped with odd ball sized tires that are hard to find when traveling, 195/65R15. Raising the fenders for clearance to allow 205/75R15.
 
@ag4ever recently did similar work on my trailer after blowing two tires in a row in same location. It ended up being the thin plate failing between the leaf springs and trailer frame. Looks like in your photo there is a similar plate… tap the shackles with hammer to confirm solid connection. It’s a real pain fixing when traveling…
 
Started the clean up of the bumper. Cut off the front plow brackets with the death wheel and then started with the flappy disk to smooth it down and knock off some surface rust.

Thanks for the troubleshooting tip. I whacked on all the suspension with a ball peen hammer and everything is solid.

I think the biggest issue is undersized tires, but mostly the fact this is a borrowed trailer where the owner believes he has not gotten his money’s worth out of tires unless either they are shredded on the road or cords are poking out. Even if cords are poking out he will run them till they chuck treads.

Case in point, this is one of the tires that he thought was fine, if I had seen this before my trip I would have visited a tire shop for him.

Found a suitable pallet at work, starting to pack up the snow plow components for safe keeping, or sale. Taking up way too much room in the garage!!! Will palletize it all on the trailer, unload pallet at work with a fork lift.

The pallet is 3' x 7', not sure on overall height yet, will probably be three compartments high!!!
