What's on your Work Bench?

Picked up more castings today. Five sets of Scrambler type end caps, Two sets of 77-79 step bumper end caps, and one pair of early side steps. All drilled and tapped and ready to go or for the steps to be welded. One step is on my hi-dollar jig and ready to go to the welder. The early end caps replace the stamped steel ones originally tack welded in place. Weld in metal similar to what is in our Scrambler bumpers and bolt these in place. During the week I made up some black console pads for OEM consoles.

Been busy building a new shop at my house. Tired of traffic these days. What used to take 20 minutes is now 40 so I’ll just build one at home. Also went to Florida for bike week and was stoked that my bike and wife’s Jeep fit on trailer.IMG_7351.jpegIMG_7350.jpegIMG_7404.jpeg

Rocker molding were a little twisted and bent. Got them straighten out fairly well. Had a chance to use the elevator bolts to mount them. Cut spacers from an old fuel line and they worked out well. McMaster-Carr has them if anyone needs them.

I just spent a few days in Alpharetta with the in-laws. I gotta say, while my brother in law probably makes 20 times what I do in a year, there isn't enough money in the world for me to deal with that kinda traffic on a day to day basis.

Nice looking shop! I'm jelly.

yeah i live an hour north of there but traffic is getting ridiculous here as well. that's why my next move will be west to a population of below 500 people
