My removed is pinion is marked "29" and its replacement is "30" - so I figure I'll go -1 on the pinion shims and see what that gets me as far as pattern.

Stay tuned

Cork gasket and aviation sealant on both sides of gasket. Slowly tighten all bolts up to torque. I start at top and just go around the whole cover 3-4 times until I reach torque spec. Make sure the inner cover lip, the portion that actually make contact with the cork gasket, is not bent. My green Scrambler's rear cover had a slight ding on this lip, so it always dripped a hair. Hammer, punch, 10 seconds, fixed

I'm going to lubelockers on everything I crack open now... have a couple sitting on the shelf for the next time they get done.

I'm just not sure how well they will work with the AMC20's "recessed ridge" deal. They work great on flat flange Dana 30/44's

And almost 3 years to update this thread! Sorry, but I've been driving it and it hasn't really broke in a while. there, I just put the hex on myself!

She’s showing her age and I think the fabric itself is shrinking. I ran self tappers through the hem and fixed to the aluminum mounting rail. Next is to see about fixing the zippers on the rear window, they’re missing. But at least I can drive it this winter.
