My Newest Project - Me !?!?

but it's so much fun and tastes so good to put it on.........urggh! I'm with what Revo said, "Lifestyle Change".
Good on you Spanks. Keep it up.

I went back to Tulane today, 2 for 1 special, oncologist AND liver doctor.

Good news - cancer doctor was happy with my blood work, no real cancer concerns. That is always great to hear.
Bad news - one "liver marker" in my blood work is still high, but did drop a bit, so at least trending downward.
Good news - weight is down to 180, everybody is happy about that.
Bad news - weight loss, if fatty liver was cause for concern of blood liver marker thingy, hardly changed it.

So kind of "meh", but I will take a "meh" over the alternative.

Liver doctor is still concerned about the elevated blood protein thing, I think "AST". Within range, but still high for me.

I have to go back in October for a CT scan/chest x-ray for the oncologist. On the same day, the liver doctor will do another liver fibroscan. The fibroscan should show a serious reduction in the fat on my liver due to the weight loss.

Depending on the results of the liver scan/CT scan, and blood work, if liver doctor is still concerned, he will probably order a liver biopsy. He does not think I have liver cancer or anything super bad, but something is not right. No hepatitis, or cirrhosis, or even hardening of my liver, maybe some odd infection/disease, who knows

So, kind of "meh", but good enough for another 6 months anyway, so that clears me for the National and Sand Blast, I will worry about this crap later

Always glad to see no bad changes. Smooth sailing is always good. Now you can have fun.

Still in my prayers, Buddy! Like others have said- heading in the right direction, even small bits of progress, is good.

I have been to Tulane 3 times in the last 3 weeks, but all good

I had blood labs, CT scan, X-Ray, and another fibroscan of my liver. My weight has been holding steady at 168 for the last few months, so good news there.

Fibroscan of liver showed vast improvement. ALT in my blood is back at the bottom of the normal range. I no longer have a fatty liver, other marked improvements in blood work from the weight loss. I am done with the liver doctor, he has released me.

CT scan, X-Ray, and blood works is all clear of cancer, too. Very good news there.

I will have to go back in May to the cancer doctor for blood work and a physical. If I am still good at this visit, just one more x-ray/blood lab in December. If I am still good then, they will release me.

Even though I don't have any other medical issues, it was very informative going over the lab work with the liver doctor. Losing weight, getting rid of the fatty liver, showed marked improvements throughout my body. So, glad I had to go to the transplant clinic/liver doctor, really glad I don't have to go back!!!

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes
