Lost one of our dogs yesterday. It was Shinook, our white husky. Don't know what happened just found him when we went to feed him dinner. Looked like he had just fallen asleep. He was out running around and playing around noon to 1300, so don't know what happened. Would have expected our older husky Nikita to go long before Shinook. He was 10 years old but acted like a 2 year old puppy and last month got a clean bill of health from the vet. Taking it harder then I thought, probably because it was unexpected.

The same thing happened to my neighbors Rotweiler, "Todd". Played with him in the morning. Saw the owner in the afternoon and she told me he died. He was just laying on the lving room floor like he was sleeping. He was around the same age also.

Sorry to hear that truck , my chocolate lab has been gone a few years now, and I am still not over it !! :(

sorry to hear this, losing a dog is like losing a family member

Really sorry to hear this Truck. They are part of the family, not just pets.

Sorry for your loss. Been there, and it ain't easy. But it sounds like you gave him a great life, and that's all that really matters.

Sorry man. I have a 10 yr old yellow Lab. I know I'll miss him deeply when hes gone. Even though your time was cut short with Shinook it seems he passed in peace and was well taken care of.

Yep, it was hard today going in the back yard and expecting him to come galloping down from the meadow at the top of the hill at full speed to greet me before I could even get to the deck stairs and he didn't come.

Sorry for your loss. They brighten our lives while they are with us.

Sorry to hear this Truck, very little as pure in this world as a dog's love.

Uggh

sorry truck to read this... Just never easy no matter how they go.

They are all part of the family...

Sorry for your loss, Truck. I deeply feel your pain, every dog that is no longer with me shares a special place in my heart. Our dogs are family members, they share the bed, the Jeep, they go everywhere with us. I joke with my wife that she loves the dogs more than me.

Hang in there

Sorry to hear Truck.

Dang Truck, just saw this. Hate to hear it. I've only buried one dog in my life and it was a very very sad day. They are absolutely part of the family.

Sorry to hear about losing Shinook. It is always hard no matter how they go.
We lost our 5yo St Bernard Rosie to cancer last August. It tore me up seeing her in that condition.
Shinook passed the best way any dog could, peaceully at home and with a loving family.

I wanted to post and give my condolences as well. It's a sad day when you lose a dog.

My little old lady had to go into the hospital for surgery this week, and we found some bad things on her bloodwork. At least we know about them and can try to treat them, but it went from her being immortal to knowing she'll be gone someday.

Needless to say, she won't be up this high again until after she's gone.

Sorry for the loss, Truck.
